Wood Flooring :: Savannah Collection

“Savannah Collection” is made using sliced 2mm wood veneers, resulting in very natural grain patterns, which are indistinguishable from traditional solid wood flooring. Rotary sliced veneers, which are commonly used in many engineered floors, result in unnatural grain patterns with less character similar to plywood.

How do we make it look aged? We do it the old fashioned way to achieve the correct look. First we randomly distress the face of each plank by hand. Next we hand scrape the face of each plank. Lastly, we lightly wire brush the face in order to open up the grain pattern. The “Savannah Collection” is completely crafted by hand, no machines are used to create the character of this product.

The wood can only look as good as the finish allows. Savannah Collection has a 7 layer aluminum oxide finish. The finish is extremely clear and smooth. No orange peel or foggy finish here. Compare our product to the competition and you will see the effect a good quality smooth finish has on bringing out the true beauty of natural wood. In addition, the finish has a 15 year warranty.

The Savannah Collection is made with a 7 layer multi-ply core. The multi-ply core provides an excellent platform that resists warping and bowing.

The Savannah Collection is comprised using Chinese Hickory. By using Chinese Hickory, which is indistinguishable from American Hickory, we are able to offer this great look at an affordable price.

Our product is of engineered construction. The nature of our construction makes it environmentally friendly. From the top our floor looks exactly the same as a solid wood floor, when installed no one can distinguish the two. The environmental difference is that by using an engineered construction we are able to make at least 4 times the amount of flooring by using the same amount of “The Limited Specie Lumber / Hardwood”. This material is considered to be a slow growth wood. The majority of the overall mass of this product consists of the core which is made using a faster growing plentiful species.

The Savannah Collection is a complete program equipped with prefinished matching moldings. These molding are produced in a manner to offer the best match possible. All moldings are made with the same specie as the flooring not just stained to match. They also have the matching distressing and texture on them.
