Heritage Collection Custom Wood Options

Any of the custom options listed and described below can be added to the product you are viewing. Using the color and wood of your choice Catalina can create a custom sample implementing any options you choose and made to your specification. See your sales representative for complete details.

Standard Face and Edge

Standard Face is a smooth flat surface with a micro bevel edge.

Age Enhanced

Offers the look of old weathered wood with open knots. If you like the look of reclaimed lumber this option may be right for you.

Heavy Distressed Face & Edge & Hand Scraped

This look has become main stream in today’s market place. This is an excellent option for high traffic areas that may be subject to intense use.

Time Worn Surface & Edge

Don’t confuse this with hand scraped. No scrapers are used on this floor. The surface is completely sculpted by hand using sanding methods. The look replicates a floor that has been worn over time through heavy use.

Wire Brushed

Wire brushing opens the grain and adds texture and dimension to the surface. In addition it allows the use of multiple colors and layers by accenting the grain and wire brushing.

Bird Pecks / Worm Holes

These tiny holes in the wood replicate what may happen to a plank of wood that has been reclaimed after being subjected to the elements of nature.

Burned Edges / French Bleed

This edge offers the look of an antique floor with aged edges from years of use. Unlike other manufactures that use paints or dyes to treat the edge we burn and toast our edge giving it a very unique look of its own.

Rolled Edge

This edge detail offers a rounded, eased edge.

Tumbled Edge

This edge detail offers a randomly distressed edge.

Picked Knots

Unless specified, our floor will come with filled knots. This option re-opens the knots which results in a more aged and rustic appearance.

Ranch Style

Inspired by the ranch lifestyle one may live in Montana or Wyoming. This look offers the look of an antique reclaimed floor that has experienced years of use. Our skilled craftsman lightly toasts the floor adding character that would normally take many years to develop.
